Patricia McLaughlin has extensive work experience in various roles within the international development sector. Patricia'smost recent position was as Chief of Party at IBI - International Business Initiatives, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant for proposal development at Dexis Consulting Group from August 2022.

From September 2016 to September 2021, Patricia served as Chief of Party/Director at Dexis Consulting Group, overseeing the USAID Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Services for Collaborative Learning and Adaptation Activity in Honduras. In this role, they focused on improving citizen security, reducing extreme poverty, and promoting transparency and accountability in the country.

Before that, they were the Country Director/Chief of Party at Jhpiego, where they managed the USAID-funded MCHIP-Integrated Service Delivery Project in South Sudan. Additionally, Patricia has held leadership positions at organizations such as Friends in Global Health, Vanderbilt University, International Medical Corps, IntraHealth International, American Red Cross, and NHQ-International Services.

Throughout their career, Patricia has demonstrated expertise in project management, program quality, strategic planning, business development, and monitoring and evaluation. Patricia has worked on various projects related to public health, maternal and child health, HIV prevention, and disaster recovery.

Patricia McLaughlin's education history begins in 1975 when they attended the University of Wisconsin. Patricia obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1978. Later, they pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin from 1983 to 1984, where they earned their Masters in Social Work. In 1994, Patricia attended the University of London and completed their Master of Arts degree in International Studies and Oriental and African Studies in 1995. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a Certificate in Qualitative Research from Emory University.
