Joe Dix

Joe Dix has a diverse work history that spans over several decades. Joe started their career in 1972 as an Associate at The Salvation Army, where they managed the youth/sports center and worked with inner city youth. Joe also drove vehicles for senior citizen and church functions and assisted with the Meals on Wheels program. In 1973, they joined A&W Restaurants, Inc. as a cook and was later promoted to Operations Manager. In this role, they managed 34 employees, handled purchasing and ordering systems, and maintained a clean facility while increasing sales. From 1980 to 1984, they worked as a Quality Control employee at Hoover Universal. In 1989, they joined Lakeland Engineering Equipment Company as an Inside Sales Associate, a position they held until 1995. From 1995 to 1997, they served as the Telemarketing Manager at Calkins Electric, where they oversaw the telemarketing department, coordinated alliances with suppliers, and assisted with marketing and sales. From 1997 to 1999, they worked as an Inside Sales employee at Carlton-Bates Company. Joe then joined French Gerleman in 1999 as a Sales Supervisor, a position they held until 2005. In 2005, they briefly worked as an Inside Sales employee at Sturgis Equipment before joining IBT Inc. in 2006 as a Sales Specialist, a position they currently hold.

Joe Dix attended KCKCC from 1985 to 1989, where they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician. Joe also pursued further education at KCKCC from 1987 to 1989, earning an AAS degree in Electronics Technology.
