Wael Nasr

Wael Nasr is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the domain name industry and technology sectors. Currently, Wael serves as CoChairman of the IDN Implementation Guidelines Group at ICANN, representing ALAC. In addition, Wael holds senior roles at TLDVilla LLC and WiseDots LLC, focusing on global gTLD and ccTLD platforms and TLD origination consulting, respectively. Previously, Wael was CEO of Dar El Technologia, where efforts centered on Arabic-language domain projects and cloud computing technology. Additional experience includes a business development role at GridWiseTech, a director position at i-DNS.net focusing on Arabic Domain Name Systems, and research at the Stanford Center for Integrated Systems, where Wael contributed to semiconductor fabrication advancements. Wael holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University, a Master’s degree in Communications Engineering from Cairo University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo.
