Ian Shainbrown

Ian Shainbrown has a diverse range of work experience. Ian is currently the Managing Director, Legal at iCapital Network since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer at Axio Financial LLC from March 2018 until its sale to iCapital Network in November 2021. Ian also worked as a Partner and Chief Legal Officer at PSW Capital LLC starting in September 2022. Ian was the Managing Partner at The Shainbrown Firm LLC since January 2019. Before that, they held roles at Prospect Capital Management, where they were Vice President, Investments and Portfolio Management & Vice President, Legal from March 2013 to February 2018. Ian started their legal career as an Attorney at Greenberg Traurig, LLP from March 2005 to March 2013, where they managed a team of attorneys and handled litigation cases. Ian also worked as an Attorney at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP from September 2002 to March 2005, focusing on tax and litigation matters. Ian began their legal career as an Associate and Law Clerk at Nagel, Rice, Dreifuss & Mazie, LLP from May 2000 to March 2001.

Ian Shainbrown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan in 1999. Ian then went on to attend Georgetown University Law Center, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in 2002.
