Melissa Pao

Melissa Pao has a diverse work experience in the field of UX and product design. Melissa is currently working as a UX Designer at iCapital. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Designer at SIMON Markets LLC. Melissa has also gained experience as a Jr. UI/UX Designer at Station, where they led the design vision for an internal mobile product and designed connected mobility solutions for automotive clients. Melissa has also worked as an Undergraduate Design Researcher at the University of Washington, exploring everyday design methods and structures. Melissa has worked as a User Experience Designer & Researcher at Seattle Children's Hospital, conducting research to enhance the pediatric discharge experience. Additionally, they have interned as a UX Designer at Jackalope, building UI components and improving user efficiency, and as a UX Researcher at nFocus Solutions™, analyzing the impact of UX on decision-making. Melissa has also gained experience as an Experience Design Intern at Chef Koochooloo, conducting usability tests and incorporating accessibility in design.

Melissa Pao attended Gunn High School from 2012 to 2016, where they completed their high school education. Melissa then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington from 2016 to 2020.
