Roman Sandler has a diverse work experience in the fields of machine learning, healthcare technology, and neuroscience. Roman is currently serving as the CTO and Co-founder of iCardio.ai, where they are leading the development of computer vision models for echocardiography and overseeing FDA approval efforts. Prior to this, they worked at Intellisense Systems, Inc. as a Group Leader and Team Leader in Machine Learning, where they developed deep learning models for various applications, including tweet relevance classification, blemish detection in manufactured materials, and drone navigation. Roman was also a founding member of Kernel, a startup focused on developing neuroprosthesis for brain function improvement. Additionally, they have held positions as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UCLA and a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Southern California.

Roman Sandler earned their Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Yeshiva University, where they studied from 2008-2011. Roman then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Southern California from 2012-2014. Continuing their education, Roman went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California, completing their studies from 2011-2015.
