Shawn Martin

Shawn Martin is an experienced engineering professional with a comprehensive background in technical services and management within the renewable energy and plumbing industries. Currently serving as Vice President of Technical Services at ICC Evaluation Service since March 2018, Shawn oversees accredited certification programs for solar thermal and small wind turbine products. Previous roles include Director of Technical Services for the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation, where Shawn managed certification programs for solar heating and cooling technologies, and various directorial positions at the International Code Council focused on plumbing, mechanical, and fuel gas model codes. With a strong educational foundation, including a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, Shawn has a proven track record in developing standards, coordinating sustainability initiatives, and providing critical engineering support across numerous organizations.
