Rakesh Pillai is an experienced culinary professional with a robust background in high-profile hospitality environments. Currently serving as Executive Chef at the International Convention Centre Sydney since December 2016, Rakesh has previously held roles including Executive Sous Chef and Chef De Cuisine at the same establishment. Prior experience includes Chef de Cuisine at RHR Group and The Star Entertainment Group, with a focus on event catering and commissary kitchen operations. Rakesh's culinary journey began at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, advancing from Senior Chef De Partie to encompass various kitchen roles, including a management trainee position at Hotel Samudra in India. Rakesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from Mangalore University.
