Alex Chen has a diverse range of work experience in the tech industry. Alex started their career in 1998 as a QA Test Engineer at Philips Medical Systems, where they developed test procedures and executed test plans for product releases. In 2000, they joined Critical Path Inc as a JR. Systems Administrator, where they supported and managed NT servers and installed and maintained various operating systems. Alex then worked at Classic Vacations as an Account Executive Sales Specialist from 2002 to 2008, where they created tailored luxury vacation packages and collaborated with travel agents to resell inventory. In 2010, Alex worked at TRIA Beauty, Inc as a Contract IT Support Specialist, where they administered Active Directory accounts and provided technical support for various devices and network issues. Most recently, Alex joined Ellie Mae in 2011 as a Technical Support specialist.

Alex Chen attended De Anza College from 1993 to 1995, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business. They then went on to study at San Jose State University from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Management Information Systems.
