Head of ThermoFluids at Iceotope

Jasper Kidger, PhD CEng MIMechE, has a strong background in thermal and fluid dynamics simulation work. Jasper started their career as a Senior Scientist at the Health and Safety Laboratory, where they conducted CFD simulations for incident investigations and industrial health and safety research. Jasper then joined ANSYS, Inc. as a Lead Engineer, specializing in computational fluid dynamics and providing consultancy services to engineering clients. In 2012, they became the Manager of Global Training Curriculum at ANSYS, leading a team responsible for producing global customer training materials. Currently, they are the Head of ThermoFluids at Iceotope Technologies Limited, leading a team of engineers to provide simulation capability on all aspects of fluid mechanics, flow balancing, and heat transfer in the liquid cooling market for IT equipment. Prior to this, they worked as a Thermo-Fluids Engineer at Iceotope, specializing in liquid cooling technology.

Jasper Kidger obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester - Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) from 1992 to 1995. Jasper then pursued further studies at the same institution and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Turbulence Modelling for CFD from 1995 to 1999.
