Markku Kontio

Markku Kontio is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software engineering and product management. Currently serving as Team Lead and Flight Software Product Owner at ICEYE since March 2022, Markku has previously held leadership roles at Rambus, Verimatrix, Inside Secure, and Giesecke & Devrient. Markku co-founded Ludus Helsinki and served as CTO, and also led SoftBeat Oy as CEO. A significant tenure at Nokia included positions such as Chief Architect and Senior Technology Manager. Markku's career began at Setec Ltd and VBI Technology Ltd as a Systems Specialist and Senior Consultant, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Aalto University and an MSc in Computer Science from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
