Kim Brewitt, PhD, is a Senior Scientist and Biometrician at ICF since May 2024, bringing extensive experience in biology and data science. Previously, Kim served as a Senior Instructor of Biology at the University of South Carolina Upstate from 2015 to May 2024, where a curriculum redesign led to over a 20% increase in course pass rates, and authored an open-source lab manual for over 500 students. As a Data Scientist at Nestlé Nespresso SA in late 2023, Kim updated a predictive model for the carbon footprint of coffee crops. Additional experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Springboard, focusing on urban greenspace and wildlife detection projects, and serving as a Graduate Research Scientist at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where Kim designed a multi-year study on fish behavior using R and MATLAB.
