Zoi Melissari

Zoi Melissari, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in project management and research with a strong background in chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences. Currently serving as Project Manager for Outreach and Knowledge Transfer at ICFO since November 2022, Zoi focuses on managing outreach initiatives and overseeing the EU 360 CARLA project. Zoi completed a Doctoral Researcher role with a MSCA Fellowship from September 2018 to November 2022 at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Amsterdam, concentrating on the design and evaluation of photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy. Earlier experience includes a Visiting Fellow position at BIOEMTECH, a Visiting Research Fellow role at Universidade de Coimbra, and various internships in pharmacy and analytical chemistry. Zoi holds a dual Ph.D. in Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Amsterdam, as well as a Master's in Translational Research from Democritus University of Thrace and a Pharmacy degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
