Douglas Headley

Douglas Headley has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Douglas began their career in 1979 as a Business Manager at Industrial Promotions, Inc. From 1984 to 1987, they worked as a Registered Representative at Prudential-Bache Securities. In 1988, they joined PNC Bank and held various roles including AVP/Trust Administrator/Investment Officer/Trust Portfolio Manager until 1994. During this time, they gained experience in administering trust accounts with unique assets such as oil and gas wells. Headley then moved to SunTrust Bank in 1994, where they worked for over 20 years as a Senior Vice President/Senior-Regional Trust & Estate Administrator, overseeing the full-scope administration of trusts and estates. In 2015, they joined Old Point Trust & Financial Services, N.A. as a Senior Vice President/New Business Development Officer/Wealth Management Advisor, where they played a critical role in promoting and advancing the company's Trust & Estate Services program. In 2018, they joined Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. as a Financial Advisor until 2020. Currently, they are a Senior Financial Planner at MissionSquare Retirement, and prior to that, they were a Financial Consultant with Guided Pathways Advisory Services.

Douglas Headley graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to attending the University of Kentucky, they studied General Studies at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College from 1975 to 1976. Douglas also obtained a National Graduate Trust School degree from the American Bankers Association. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) in February 2014, accredited by The Institute of Certified Bankers. Most recently, in December 2021, Douglas achieved the designation of CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner) from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
