Tania Cobbs, PHR, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over 20 years. Tania is currently employed as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at MissionSquare Retirement since September 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at different organizations.

From 2018 to 2022, Tania worked as a Human Resources Executive Advisor at the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), where they provided advisory services to the Executive Director of the Office of Human Resources. Their responsibilities included overseeing the development of employee engagement and diversity and inclusion programs, reviewing training content and procedures, and initiating change management processes. Tania also served as a Human Resources Program Manager, Employee and Labor Relations at OCFO from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they managed personnel policies and procedures and acted as a liaison between administration managers and union representatives.

Prior to their time at OCFO, Tania worked as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Bloomberg BNA from 2016 to 2018. Tania collaborated with business unit leaders to execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.

From 2011 to 2016, Tania held multiple roles at Aerotek. Tania served as a Senior Employee Relations Manager, where they supported a large number of contingent and internal employees and provided strategic direction to the Employee Relations team. Tania also worked as a Human Resources Manager, overseeing regional diversity committee programs and initiatives, and as an Employee Relations Manager, leading investigations and mediations of employment/labor law grievances.

Earlier in their career, Tania worked at Kleinfelder as a Senior Employee Relations Specialist, where they implemented diversity and inclusion initiatives and managed employee resource groups. Tania also served as the company's EEO Officer and handled investigations of harassment and discrimination claims. Tania worked as a Human Resources Manager/Assistant Human Resources Manager at ARAMARK, managing staffing and HR compliance, and as a Senior Staffing Specialist at Legal Placements, Inc., conducting recruitment for law firms and private sector clients.

Tania's first roles in their career include serving as a Director Assistant at Mercer Oliver Wyman, an Assistant to the Director of HR and Administration at Finnegan, and a Senior Human Resources Associate at Raytheon Technologies. In these positions, they provided administrative support, facilitated new hire orientations, and organized employee programs.

Throughout their career, Tania has demonstrated expertise in areas such as employee relations, diversity and inclusion, risk mitigation, recruitment, and compliance. Tania holds a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification and a SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) certification.

Tania Cobbs, PHR, SHRM-CP, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Maryland from 1996 to 2000. Tania pursued further certifications, earning the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation from HRCI in March 2021 and becoming a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through SHRM in September 2015.
