Erica Burton, RN, MPH, CGNC, is an experienced nursing professional currently serving as a Nurse Consultant and Senior Advisor for Nursing and Health Policy at the International Council of Nurses since September 2015. Erica has also been a Registered Nurse on the Inpatient Unit at Casey House since February 2019, providing care to adults living with HIV/AIDS in a supportive environment. Previous roles include Academic Assistant at Queen's University, where Erica contributed to the Master of Science in Healthcare Quality program, and a First Aid Trainer and Health Educator at HealthFirst Sàrl. Erica's international experience includes a position as a Staff Health Officer for Médecins Sans Frontières during the Ebola outbreak. Past work at Ottawa Public Health involved comprehensive case management for sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections. Erica holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa.
