Jelle Praet

Jelle Praet is a Senior Clinical Project Manager at icometrix, leading the €10M CLAIMS project with 15 partners. Previously served as a Clinical Application Specialist, building collaborative relationships with experts in Neurology, specifically in Multiple Sclerosis and dementia. Co-founded Brouwerij Sjemiek, which transitioned from a hobby into a nano-scale commercial craft beer venture in 2022. Operated as the owner of Sci-lens, a freelance graphic design business catering to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior Project Manager experience at Modis included managing large public-private European research grants focused on the secondary use of real-world clinical data. Worked at UAntwerpen as a Postdoctoral Researcher on MRI biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease, securing €800,000 in funding, and also completed a PhD in preclinical research on neural stem cell treatments for Multiple Sclerosis. Holds a Master's degree in molecular medical biotechnology from Ghent University and a Master's in Engineering Technology, Biochemistry from KAHO Sint-Lieven.
