Sara Johns

Sara Johns has over 20 years of experience in the field of product and project management. Sara began their career in 1996 as a Visitor Services Manager at the Chicago Children's Museum. In 2002, they took on the role of Academic Service Learning at Eastern Michigan University. In 2003, they joined Icon Technology Studio as Senior Director of Product/Project Management, where they were responsible for assigning and managing resources for a staff of 50+ across multiple offices. Sara also led the hiring of internal and contract resources, and was responsible for interviewing, hiring, mentoring, and evaluating employees. In this role, they also led teams of content management, creative and development professionals to design, develop and maintain specialized content management platforms and web content delivery for multiple automotive digital media teams. Additionally, they initiated and directed content and multi-media development initiatives. Sara also managed the development of websites using WordPress, Drupal, and proprietary content management platforms, and led and developed web-based training for local and international audiences.

Sara Johns obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Michigan. Sara then went on to study Secondary Education and Teaching at Eastern Michigan University. In 2018, Sara completed Certified Scrum Master Training from Michigan Technology Services.
