Kurt Thywissen

Kurt Thywissen has held various roles throughout their work experience. Kurt is currently a Board Member at NOBE Cars, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Stealth Mode in September 2022. From January 2021 to July 2022, they worked as a Principal Architect at THOR Industries, Inc., where they designed two concept EV RV vehicles. Kurt was the Snr. Director of Software Engineering at Telenav from May 2019 to November 2020. From April 2016 to December 2018, they served as the Senior Engineering Director HMI, Digital Cockpit at NIO, where they built a custom Digital Cockpit HMI Platform for the NIO ES8 SUV. At Tesla, they worked as a Senior Engineering Manager from October 2013 to May 2016 and managed the extension of the Infotainment system. In 2013, they co-founded Moola, a Bitcoin/Blockchain startup, and also worked as a Director at Microsoft from May 2011 to June 2013. At Skype, they held multiple positions, including Director of the Web Innovations Group, Director of SkypeWorks, Lead Developer of Skype for iPhone, and Principal Engineer in the Innovation Group. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kazaa and Apple from May 2004 to August 2005.
