John Barry

John Barry has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. John is currently serving as the SVP and Chief Strategy Officer at ICON plc since July 2021. Previously, they held the role of President at FlunkCancer since June 2019. Before that, they worked at PRA Health Sciences as the SVP and Chief Strategy Officer from January 2020 to July 2021. John also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Pharm-Olam, LLC from May 2017 to November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Merck as the Head of Portfolio Sourcing and Relationship Management from April 2013 to May 2017. John held the position of Vice President, Alliance and Sales Management at PPD from June 2009 to April 2013. Before that, John was the Global Head of Quintiles Flexible Resourcing Group at Quintiles from January 2007 to June 2009. Additionally, they served as the General Manager, Key Accounts at PPD, Inc. from 2004 to 2007.

John Barry holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, which they obtained between 1995 and 1999. John also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cornell University, completing it from 1980 to 1984.
