Mary O'Reilly has extensive work experience in the field of leadership development and organizational effectiveness. Mary started their career as a Learning & Development Advisor at Pioneer Investments in 2003 and worked there until 2007. Mary then joined Accenture as a Learning Business Partner in 2007 and transitioned to Deloitte in 2008, where they served as a Talent Learning & Development Senior Manager until 2016.

In 2016, Mary O'Reilly joined ICON plc as the Director of Leadership, People Development & Executive Education. During their tenure at ICON, they provided strategic direction for building the capability of the company's leaders worldwide and creating a purpose-driven culture. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of Global Senior Director Leadership & Talent Development, and in 2022, they assumed the position of Vice President Inclusion & Organizational Effectiveness.

Mary O'Reilly obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Hons. degree in English and Psychology from University College Cork in the years 1993 to 1996. Mary then pursued a Certificate in Training and Development from D.I.T. Aungier Street from 2001 to 2002. In 2003 to 2006, Mary completed their Bachelor of Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland. Mary furthered their education by acquiring a Diploma in Business, Executive & Personal Coaching from the Coach Institute of Ireland in 2007 to 2008. Lastly, Mary achieved a Master's Degree in Masters in Work and Organizational Behaviors (M.Sc) from Dublin City University between 2013 and 2015.
