John Plante

John Plante has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. John has worked as a Principal Engineering Lead at iControl Data Solutions, where they provided technical leadership and acted as a security resource. Prior to that, they were a .NET Developer at the same company, specializing in backend development and SQL Server. John has also worked as a .NET Software Engineer at Softworld, Inc., where they utilized C# and Xamarin to target Android applications. Additionally, they have experience as a Senior Programmer/Analyst at King Kullen, an Advanced Application Engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory, a Software Engineer at Impact, and a Senior Software Engineer at Insurity. Throughout their career, John has gained expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, WinForms, and SQL Server.

John Plante completed their education with a Masters of Professional Studies in Homeland Security - Information Sciences and Forensics from Penn State University, which they attended from 2010 to 2019. Before that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of West Florida, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. John also obtained an AS in English Education from Okaloosa Walton Community College in 1996-1997. In addition, John Plante holds certifications in Post Baccalaureate Certificate Information Systems Cybersecurity from Penn State University (obtained in 2015) and GSSP-.NET from GIAC (obtained in January 2013).
