Dean Veverka possesses extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as CTO & VP Operations at Southern Cross Cable Network since June 2004. In addition to this role, Dean Veverka is the Vice Chairman & Director of the International Cable Protection Committee and has been involved with the North American Submarine Cable Association as Treasurer since March 2009. Dean Veverka previously held the position of Chairman at the International Cable Protection Committee from May 2010 to May 2013. Earlier career highlights include a managerial role in Customer Network Management at Optus from 1993 to 1999 and a position as STO2 at OTC from 1979 to 1992. Dean Veverka's educational background includes achieving an HSC degree from Sydney Boys High School between 1973 and 1978.
