Neftali Tosado

Neftali Tosado has 25+ years of engineering, maintenance, technical services, process development and operational excellence experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry. For the last 10+ years Neftali has served in global engineering and technology director roles for companies such as Catalent Pharma Solutions, Bausch & Lomb, and AstraZeneca. Prior to becoming a consultant in 2019, Neftali was the Director, Global Technical Services Center of Excellence for Orals and Biologics at Catalent Pharma Solutions HQs. Earlier in his career Mr. Tosado had progressive roles in engineering, maintenance, and technical services with companies such as Amgen, Baxter, BASF and Teledyne.

He has expertise in strategic planning; technology roadmaps; commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV); project and planning management; continuous improvement; engineering and maintenance management; and compliance remediation. His expertise also includes automation/data integrity, change management, risk management, quality systems policy and procedural development, site and validation master plans, equipment utilities and facilities procurement, maintenance, and qualifications.

Mr. Tosado has been the Project Lead for site construction projects and numerous manufacturing technology projects to support commercial operations of biologics and inhaler combination products; aseptic and sterile injectables, nasal and ophthalmic solutions and semisolids; blow-fill-and seal (BFS); softgel capsules; orals (OSD); IV bags, continuous manufacturing for orals and biologics, cell and gene therapies upstream/downstream including SuS; and automation and serialization of packaging lines.

Mr. Tosado is a passionate, results-driven and people-oriented leader who values every relationship. He influences, motivates and develops others. Beside supporting the industry, Mr. Tosado enjoys the quality time with his family and serving his community in Raleigh, NC area.
