Yogendra Kalenahalli is a scientist at ICRISAT. Yogendra has a background in plant functional genomics and has worked on developing pyramided lines of AVP1, OsPSTOL1, and OsNAS2 for increased wheat yield. Yogendra also has experience with CRISPR-Cas9 based genome editing and CRISPRi approaches for manipulating gene expression to increase grain yield in wheat.
Yogendra Kalenahalli has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. Yogendra also has a BSc (Agri) and an MSc (Agri) from the same school. Yogendra is certified from Chubb Fire & Security Group as a Chief Warden for Emergency.
