Tugba Özay

Tugba Özay has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Tugba is currently the Head of Strategy at Icrypex Crypto Exchange, where they provide strategic guidance for the organization. Prior to this, they worked as a Moderator at EKOTÜRK.

In 2020, Tugba served as a Research Manager at Noor Capital Market Menkul Değerler A.S., where they conducted research and analysis to support investment decisions. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Fund Manager at Bizim Asset Management, overseeing investment strategies and managing funds.

Tugba began their career at İntegral Menkul Değerler in 2012 as a Research Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for creating daily trading strategies and recommendations for customers. Tugba also prepared segment reports for newspapers and online economy websites.

Before entering the financial industry, Tugba gained management training experience at the State Planning Organization in 2010.

Tugba Özay's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Statistics from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, which was obtained from 2007 to 2011. Tugba then pursued a Master's Degree in Master of Capital Markets and Stock Exchange from Marmara University, which was completed from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, Tugba Özay enrolled in Istanbul Bilgi University for their Master's Degree in International Political Economy, which they successfully completed in 2016. During their time at Istanbul Bilgi University, they also obtained the certifications of Derivative Instruments License and Capital Market Activities Level 3 License from SPK – Capital Markets Board of Turkey.

Tugba Özay's academic journey continued with the pursuit of a Ph.D. degree in Political Economy from Yeditepe University, starting from 2020.

Throughout their educational journey, Tugba Özay also acquired various additional certifications. Tugba completed the School of Politics, Political Science and Government program from Bahcesehir University in 2014. In 2016, they earned certifications from SPK – Capital Markets Board of Turkey in Derivative Instruments and Capital Market Activities Level 3. Tugba Özay further enhanced their knowledge by completing the State Planning Organization and Practical Training Program from the State Planning Organization in 2010. Additionally, they participated in the American English and Culture Program, focusing on English Language and Literature at Arizona State University in 2009. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Business, International Relations, and the Political Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
