Sergey Missan

Sergey Missan has been working in the software and research industry since 1993. Sergey started as a Senior Lab Assistant at Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, and in 1999 they became a Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie Univ. In 2005 they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie Univ. and also founded and edited IT • archiv. In 2008 they became a Senior Software Developer (Qt/C++) at HEKA Electronics Inc., and in 2011 they became a Qt Software Consultant at Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. Sergey also founded and was Managing Partner (Research and Development) at Simulogic Inc., where they developed an innovative open source CESE platform.

Sergey Missan obtained a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from Dalhousie University between 1998 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Biology and Biophysics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv between 1992 and 1997. In addition, they hold certifications as a Nokia Certified Qt Developer and a Nokia Certified Qt Specialist (Advanced UI/Widgets).
