Martin Hjalmarsson has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Trainee at Production Modeling Corporation. In 2009, they were a C# Developer at Scania and also a Master thesis student at Industriarmatur-ARI AB.
From 2010 to 2018, Martin worked at Consat Engineering AB as a Software Engineer before transitioning to Volvo Car Group. At Volvo, they served as a Software Developer from 2010 to 2014, followed by becoming a Team Leader and Software Architect from 2014 to 2015. Later, in 2016, they were appointed as the Technical Team Lead of the Active Safety Integration Team at Volvo Car Group.
In 2018, Martin joined WirelessCar as a Software Engineer, where they developed Backend services for cloud-connected vehicles using the AWS Serverless platform. Martin utilized a DevSecOps methodology and predominantly worked with Java. Additionally, in the same year, they started working as a Consultant within software development at Ictech.
Martin's entrepreneurial journey began in 2008 when they co-founded BokaTennis & BokaPadel Sweden AB, a company that has now become one of Sweden's largest booking SaaS providers for tennis and padel courts. As the Founder and CTO, they led the development of innovative technologies, such as controlling lights and doors for customers before the IoT trend emerged. The company achieved significant success with over 100 customers and more than 100,000 registered users by 2021.
Most recently, in 2022, Martin joined Telia as a Senior Software Engineer.
Martin Hjalmarsson attended Chalmers University of Technology from 2004 to 2010, where they pursued a degree in MSc, Systems, Control & Mechatronics. Their field of study was focused on Mekatronik, robotik, and automatiseringsteknik.
