Anabela Moreira

Anabela Moreira is a visiting researcher at UCL School of Pharmacy since May 2023 and a PhD student at ICVS - Life and Health Sciences Research Institute since January 2023. Previously, Anabela served as a junior researcher at BIOFABICS - 3D BIOTISSUE ANALOGUES from December 2019 to December 2022 and held visiting scientist positions at Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering IBMT and UCL School of Pharmacy in 2020-2021 and 2020, respectively. Anabela conducted a Master's thesis project at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde from October 2018 to October 2019, focusing on glial cell biology and the evaluation of amphibian peptides for therapeutic potential. Anabela's early research experience includes an Erasmus+ internship at VIB, KU Leuven in early 2018 and a research trainee role at i3S from February 2017 to January 2018. Anabela holds a Master's degree in Bioengineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences at Universidade do Minho.
