Job description

The Regional Operations Manager oversees the work, safety, efficiency, accuracy, quality, training, and consistent timely delivery of assigned operations work from field team members within region. Regional Managers assist with the creation of operating standards, management of expenses, work schedules, payroll entry, assigned projects, hiring, firing, coaching, and daily production of assigned region.

Regional Operations Manager COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • $65,000 to 80,000, depending on experience and location.

  • Up to 50% out-of-state travel (approx. 2 weeks per month)

Regional Operations Manager REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing and able to spend first two months working in the field as a field specialist to learn position of direct reports.

  • Willing and able to travel out of state as needed, for up to 5 days at a time, up to 50 percent of the time, including regular trips to the corporate headquarters, as needed.

  • At least two years of managing the operations of a geographically disbursed team that travels to multiple work sites (or minimum of two years of experience with project management).

  • Must have a reliable vehicle that can carry a 6-foot extension ladder and drive long distances when needed.

  • No fear of ladders or heights of no more than 30-feet (e.g., commercial property rooftops such as malls).

  • Not squeamish around bugs, critters, or hazards found near commercial retail properties.

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.

Regional Operations Manager ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Planning, Monitoring, and Reporting:

  • Manage, track, and report on projects assigned to team.

  • Develop, monitor and report on safety (such as, TCIR - Total Case Incident Rate), Quality (such as Defect Rate), and Cost (such as percentage of Revenue to Cost of Goods Sold).

  • Ensure field team members are working safely and following all safety standards.

  • Ensure the timely completion and submission of projects.

  • Attend and participate in operations calls, updates, and company meetings.

Budget, Schedule, and Expense Management:

  • Review and approve team member schedules, requests for time off, purchases, travel expenses, and other requests.

  • Manage expenses, including travel costs, overtime, and project expenses to ensure work is completed properly and profitably within expected cost and scope.

  • Verify team members are on site and working with needed tools and information.

  • Ensure expenses are submitted, reviewed, and approved on time.

  • Create, review, track, and approve changes to weekly work schedules.

Management and Leadership:

  • Analyze work quality and efficiency of team and coach or correct where needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule and optimize field production.

  • Develop and train team members to work effectively within all project scopes.

  • Perform site visits to assess work and build rapport with team regularly.

  • Work cross-functionally and across organizational boundaries and levels to adequately resolve client and employee issues, including property access, travel, and work issues.

  • Conduct weekly one on one meetings with each team member within assigned region.

  • Ensure all assigned training within region is complete.

  • Review performance and request compensation adjustments.

  • Collaborate with HR to interview, hire, fire, coach, train, and hold team accountable to commitments, expectations, and deliverables.

  • Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
