Ryan Heitzman

Ryan Heitzman has extensive experience in the power generation sector, currently serving as the Power Plant Area Leader at Idaho Power since June 2014, overseeing two simple cycle gas-fired power plants. Prior to this role, Ryan led a team of technicians as Line Operations Technician Leader, focusing on the installation and maintenance of distribution line protection equipment throughout southern Idaho. Ryan's career began with PacifiCorp as a Power Plant Operator at a combined cycle power plant, progressing from auxiliary operator to control room operator. Additionally, Ryan served in the US Navy as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical), specializing in gas turbine and electrical systems. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Governors University, earned between January 2013 and January 2016.
