Vithal Tekumalla

Vithal Tekumalla has over 20 years of experience in offshore oil and gas engineering, fabrication, and construction project delivery. Vithal'smost recent role was as the Director of Floating Systems at IDARE, where they specialized in floating system and AI technology. Prior to that, they worked at TechnipFMC as the Manager of Project Engineering, overseeing project management and delivery for TLP Tendon systems. Vithal also has experience as the Tendon Engineering Manager at FloaTEC, LLC and as a Principal Engineer at WorleyParsons, where they focused on floating platform design and analysis. Earlier in their career, Vithal worked as a Senior Engineer at ABB LUMMUS GLOBAL BV, specializing in engineering design and finite element analysis for offshore platforms and aerospace applications. Vithal also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of New Orleans.

Vithal Tekumalla holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tulane University, which they completed between 1991 and 1997. Prior to that, their educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Marine Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Vithal also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans.
