Jan Weiss

Jan Weiss is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in structuring and mobilizing funds for infrastructure transactions, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean. As Principal Investment Officer at IDB Invest since January 2016, Jan has successfully managed relationships with multilateral and bilateral institutions, institutional investors, commercial banks, and impact investors. Prior to this role, Jan served as Lead Syndications Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank, where responsibilities included mobilizing financing for complex infrastructure and project finance transactions. Early career experience includes serving as Executive Director at WestLB, Group Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., and Investment Officer at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Jan holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business and is an alumnus of Dartmouth College.
