Omar Zacarías

Omar Zacarías is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management, particularly in infrastructure projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently serving as a Senior Investment Officer at IDB Invest since December 2017, Omar specializes in structuring tailored corporate and project finance solutions, including senior and subordinated long-term loans, bridge loans, and guarantees for energy projects. Prior to this role, Omar held positions at the International Finance Corporation as an Associate Investment Officer and Investment Analyst, as well as at METALDOM as Financial Coordinator and Aerodom as Senior Treasury Analyst. Omar began a career in finance as a Business Analyst at DBP Consultants and holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from IE Business School.
