Elise Azar

Elise Azar, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability, strategy, and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Senior Solutions Consultant at IDBS since September 2021, Elise previously contributed as a Research Consultant and Research Associate in Strategy & Sustainability at INSEAD. As the Co-Founder and CEO of BioThrust, Elise focused on innovative solutions for sustainable microalgae production. Additional experience includes roles at Entrepreneur First, leading postdoctoral research projects at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique, and managing various projects aimed at enhancing scientific expertise visibility. Elise holds a PhD in Physics/Biophysics from Université Paris-Saclay and has significant entrepreneurial experience through past ventures, including PnE ISP. Achievements include presenting at international conferences, developing successful business strategies, and fostering collaboration among diverse research teams.
