Yael Paran

Yael Paran is an experienced professional in the field of biomedical technology. They started their career at the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Staff Scientist, where they developed new methods for evaluating drug combinations. Yael then worked at the National Institutes of Health as a Visiting Scientist, leading the introduction of image-based high-content screening and managing multiple research projects. Currently, Yael is the Chief Technology Officer at IDEA Bio-Medical, where they introduce new technologies and lead a multidisciplinary team in hardware, software, and customer support. They also played a crucial role in the development and commercialization of a high-content screening automated microscope and image analysis software. Yael has a strong background in research, technology implementation, and project management.

Yael Paran's education history includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cell Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Ph.D. in Biology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging from the same institute from 1997 to 2002. Yael also holds a Master of Science degree in Physical Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1992 to 1994.
