Israel Ybarra

Israel Ybarra currently serves as the Senior Vice President of School Development at IDEA Public Schools, a position held since June 2011, where responsibilities include coordinating, supporting, and coaching VPs of Schools across various regions. Previously, Israel held the roles of Vice President of Schools for the Upper Valley and Principal at WESLACO ISD from June 2009 to June 2011. Prior positions include At Risk Coordinator and Instructional Facilitator at Weslaco High School, as well as Director of Curriculum & Student Support Services and History Teacher. Israel holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
