Jamaal Henry

Jamaal Henry is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in leadership and teaching. As the National Director of Leadership Development at IDEA Public Schools since July 2021, Jamaal has focused on cultivating effective educational leaders. Prior experience includes a decade at KIPP Texas Public Schools - Houston, where Jamaal held various positions including Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher. Jamaal also worked as a Teacher at Alief ISD and contributed to the TRIO Upward Bound Program in multiple roles, including Residential Director and Tutor Counselor. Jamaal's educational background includes a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Prairie View A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Texas Southern University.
