Kate Banghart

Kate Banghart currently serves as the Principal at IDEA Pflugerville College Prep since July 2018, having previously held the position of Assistant Principal of Instruction at the same school. Prior to joining IDEA, Kate was a Seventh and Eighth Grade English Teacher at Colegio Panamericano from July 2016 to June 2018, where student growth exceeded NWEA averages. Kate's experience includes roles at Teach For America as a Lead Teacher Educator, Manager of Teacher Leadership Development, and Literacy Specialist, contributing to the professional development of teachers and enhancing reading and writing instruction. Earlier in the career, Kate taught high school English at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, positively impacting student outcomes. Kate holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor's degree in Classics and Latin from Kalamazoo College.
