Latoya Spann

Latoya Spann, M.Ed, serves as the Principal at IDEA Public Schools since June 2020, demonstrating strong leadership in turnaround settings and successfully navigating challenges during the launch year. Prior roles include Principal in Residence and Assistant Principal of Instruction in Residence, where valuable experience in coaching and supporting teachers to enhance student achievement was gained. Before joining IDEA, Latoya held positions as Assistant Principal and Third Grade Master Teacher at University Preparatory Academy, focusing on high-quality instruction and student comprehension. Latoya’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and current studies towards a Doctor of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration at Liberty University.
