Alexis Perrotta

Alexis Perrotta has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Alexis has worked as an Associate Director in Marketing & Communications at Idealist.org, where they created and published content, developed a style guide, and edited marketing and UI/UX copy. Alexis also served as the Associate Director of Editorial & Career Content at Idealist.org and as a Senior Editor & Writer. In addition, Alexis owned the Ugly Biscuit Baking Company, where they made scratch-made biscuits and donated profits to organizations fighting food insecurity. As a self-employed freelancer, they worked as a copywriter, editor, and contributing writer for various clients and publications. Alexis also held positions such as Digital Communications Manager at EL Education, Inc. and Digital Content Manager & Staff Writer at Cross-Cultural Solutions. Alexis has experience in managing social media, developing brand voice, and implementing SEO copywriting strategies. Prior to that, they were the Pro-bono Director of Volunteer Projects and Nonprofit Partnerships at Roadmonkey Adventure Philanthropy, where they identified and managed volunteer projects. Alexis also worked as a Marketing Manager at the NYC Department of Small Business Services, where they handled marketing campaigns and event logistics. Alexis started their career as a Guest Services and Membership Coordinator at the Children's Museum of Denver and worked as an Education Aide in a preschool classroom through AmeriCorps.

Alexis Perrotta began their education at Tufts University in 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Native American Studies. Alexis attended the university for four years and completed their studies in 2004. In 2007, they furthered their education by enrolling at the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Alexis pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration, specializing in Nonprofit Management. Alexis successfully completed the program in 2009. In 2003, they briefly studied Maori Studies at the University of Canterbury. However, no degree was obtained in this field.
