Director of Technology at Ideanomics

Mark Thompson has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mark is currently working at Ideanomics as the Director of Technology since January 2023 and also as the Director of Software Development since December 2021. Prior to that, Mark worked at CyVolve from October 2016 to April 2022, where they started as the Head of Product Development and later managed a team of 8. At CyVolve, they were responsible for product and service development, as well as infrastructure management. Before joining CyVolve, Mark held the position of Software Development Manager at Global Data Sentinel from August 2015 to October 2016, where they developed security software and encryption solutions. Mark also worked as a Senior Development Team Lead at Global Data Sentinel from June 2014 to August 2015. Mark's earlier experience includes working as a Software Development Team Leader at Sage UK from September 2008 to June 2014, where they led development teams and contributed to various software solutions. Mark started their career as a Senior Software Developer at CLARICOM from June 2004 to September 2008, and prior to that, as a Software Developer at Nexor from 2001 to 2004.

Mark Thompson attended Blyth Tynedale High School from 1994 to 1998. After completing high school, they enrolled in the University of Nottingham where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering from 1998 to 2001. Alongside their formal education, Mark also obtained several certifications. In July 2007, they became a Chartered IT Professional through the British Computing Society (BCS). Mark further enhanced their expertise by obtaining a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in June 2010. Lastly, Mark achieved the status of a Certified Scrum Professional from the Scrum Alliance in March 2015.
