Arjun Arkal Rao

Arjun Arkal Rao is currently a Senior Principal Scientist at IDEAYA Biosciences, a position held since August 2022, having previously served as Principal Scientist. Prior experience includes a Research Specialist role at the University of California, San Francisco from August 2018 to July 2022 and a PhD Candidate at UC Santa Cruz from September 2013 to June 2018, focusing on the immune response to tumors. Additional roles include an internship at GRAIL, Inc. in 2017, a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science from July 2012 to June 2013 studying genomics of glioblastoma, and an intern at GANIT Labs developing tools for NGS applications in 2011. Arjun Arkal Rao holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a B.E. in Biotechnology from PESIT, Bangalore.
