Kelly Trego

Kelly Trego is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Principal Research Scientist at IDEAYA Biosciences since April 2021. Prior to this role, Trego worked at Tierra Biosciences as a Senior Scientist and Project Leader from March 2017 to March 2021, where responsibilities included leading R&D projects and developing a protein purification method. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Scientist and Project Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, focusing on human DNA repair proteins and their implications in developmental disorders. Trego began professional research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wright State University and Walther Cancer Center. Trego holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University.
