Reeja Maskey

Reeja Maskey is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at IDEAYA Biosciences, specializing in Cancer Biology since September 2020, with a progressive career history that includes roles as Principal Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist within the same field. Prior to IDEAYA, Reeja worked at Pfizer as a Postdoctoral Fellow, leading a research project on a clinical asset's mechanism of action in cancer cell models and identifying predictive biomarkers. Reeja's postdoctoral experience also includes a position at Mayo Clinic, where important discoveries related to the role of Spartan in DNA-repair processes were made. Reeja earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in Biology and Chemistry from Salem College. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant and departmental tutor complements a solid foundation in molecular genetics and biochemistry.
