IDEC CORPORATION is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of control equipment. The Control Instruments include switches, indicators, relays, timers, industrial light-emitting diode (LED)-related products, sensors and circuit protectors. The Control Devices and Factory Automation (FA) Systems include programmable controllers, programmable indicators, FA computer systems, transmitting systems, control panels and bar code systems. The Control Peripheral Devices include switching power supplies, terminal blocks, connectors, sockets and general-purpose control boxes. The Explosion and Disaster Prevention Equipment include explosion-proof apparatus, disaster prevention equipment, security devices and related systems. The Other Products include bubble water production devices, security system products, marking system products and molds, as well as LED-related products for commercial use. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 21 subsidiaries and one associated company.
