Masanori Okamoto

Masanori Okamoto is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Geologist in the Exploration & Production Department at Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. since March 2016. Prior roles include Vice President and Senior Geologist in Unconventional Resources at Idemitsu Canada Resources Ltd., and Senior Geologist positions at Idemitsu Oil & Gas Co., Ltd. and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge. Masanori Okamoto has engaged in exploration and development across various regions, including South East Asia, the UK, and Norway, with a strong focus on unconventional resources in North America. Educational credentials include a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Geology from Kobe University.
