Christian Cheney, MBA, PMP, SSM, KTP, KMP has over 10 years of experience in the fields of Project and Program Management, Business Development, Business and IT Consulting, and Teaching.

In 2018, they began working as a Senior Project Manager at NextEra Energy Resources. From 2014-2018, they worked as Vice President of Business Development and Project Management Office at Identify Security Software Inc., where they managed software development and 3rd party product integrations into the IdentifyMe IAM platform and program managed customer deployments. Christian also developed business relationships with vendors in the Biometrics Identity Access Management (IAM) industry.

From 2009-2014, Christian worked as a Business and IT Consultant at Axxim Inc., where they provided strategic business management, Program Management, Project Management, IT, and process improvement projects to save clients resources and time.

In 2016, they worked as a Senior Program/Project Manager at TEKSystems for NextEra Energy, Inc., where they program managed wind, solar, and fossil fuel power plant data network refreshes across the USA, Canada, and Spain. Christian also lead special IT network infrastructure projects as needed and managed a data center consolidation project that reduced from four to three geographically separated data centers.

In 2015, they worked as a Program Manager at TEKSystems for Assurant, where they managed a T-Mobile client IT program and small projects utilizing Waterfall and Scrum processes integrating diverse systems with T-Mobile. Christian also assisted in strategic initiatives formulating the Vehicle Protection Services PMO standards, processes, and governance.

Also in 2015, Christian worked as a Project Manager at KForce for Disney Parks & Resorts, where they managed a $2.5M migration of 307 applications on 184 SQL servers to VM Ware virtual SQL servers in 3 data centers.

In 2014, they worked as a Project Manager at The Talent Source for JM Family Enterprises, Inc.

From 2012-2014, Christian worked as a Business Planning Program Administrator at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where they managed Operations, IT, HR, Purchasing, Budget, Fleet Management, Document Management, and Facilities departments overseeing 21 direct reports, and an $8.2 million budget. Christian also led an IT pilot project deploying mobile devices to field teams successfully proofing concept reducing equipment needed to support field operations via integration of 3rd party SAS solution data feed into DEP systems. Christian also reorganized headquarters facility in half the time allotted and moved 3 facilities and IT infrastructure saving $249,000 in recurring annual costs.

In 2011, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Technical University.

In 2010, Christian worked as a Senior Program Manager at CHEP/Brambles, where they managed all IT projects in the Americas, trained and mentored PMs in IT Project Management Office processes and project management, and project managed Java/JavaScript mobile apps and application development projects.

Christian Cheney holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Santa Clara University, obtained in 1997 with a major in Marketing and International Business. Christian also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from National University, obtained in 1989 with a major in Business Administration, Marketing & Sales. In addition, they hold several certifications, including SAFe Advance Scrum Master from SAFe Agile Certification in Dubai (obtained in August 2019), Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) and Kanban Management Professional (KMP) from Lean Kanban University (obtained in June 2018), Certified SAFe® 4 Scrum Master (obtained in May 2018), PMP from Project Management Institute (obtained in May 2004), and Developing a Killer Personal Brand from Pluralsight.
