Steve Salazar

Steve Salazar is the CEO and Co-Founder of Blackbird Studios, a software development studio based in San Francisco and Seattle, specializing in Web, Mobile, and IoT solutions. With extensive experience in leadership and software development, Steve has served as a Software Expert in Residence and Interim Director of Software Design at IDEO, and as Director of Engineering at Substantial, where Steve led successful product teams for notable clients including IDEO and UCSF. Previous roles include Co-Founder and CTO positions at Social Sidekick and Dittit.com, along with independent software development work and consulting for Citibank and various other organizations. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Hardware Engineering, and English from the University of Washington.
