Zachary Warnes has worked in a variety of roles in the data science and software engineering fields. In 2017, they began working as a Software Engineer and Data Analyst Intern at AnalysisWorks, a Logibec Company. At this role, they developed an automated ETL pipeline using SQLServer and PowerShell, created an automated QA reporting tool with R, Rmarkdown, and scripting, and designed a data quality dashboard in RShiny, R, SQLServer, and Docker. In 2019, Zachary Warnes worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Maastricht University. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist at Pacmed, where they implemented an ETL pipeline for hospital data in Linux system using Python, PostgreSQL, and Pandas, and developed improved supervised classification models with scikit-learn and TensorFlow in Python. In 2021, Zachary Warnes worked as a Data Scientist at Open Universiteit, where they developed a back-testing environment in Python, using Flask, Plotly and Dash, and designed energy saving algorithms using Scikit-Learn with Python and Pandas from real-time IoT sensor data streams. Finally, in 2022, Zachary Warnes began working as a Data Engineer at Ideon Technologies, where they designed and optimized Azure and MongoDB databases, advanced the software product roadmap, produced secure data pipelines to process, clean, and transform geological data, developed with built-in quality and data integrity checks, established dynamical data visualization and monitoring tools, and created data versioning systems allowing for traceability and auditing.

Zachary Warnes has a diverse educational background. Zachary obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University between 2013 and 2017. During 2016, they attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed their International Asian Studies Program in Computer Science. In 2019, they began pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science for Decision Making at Maastricht University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In addition, Warnes has obtained several certifications from Coursera and Lynda.com, as well as a certification from Google.
